I'm so excited for the launch of Dance With Miss Anna's new brand and website! Anna is a dear friend of mine. We cheered together on the Oakland Raiderettes for 3 seasons, and even traveled to Austria together to cheer in the Eurobowl. After we hung up our pom poms, Anna went full force into teaching dance, with a special focus on toddler ballet.
Now, there's something you must know about Anna: She is the sweetest, friendliest, most engaging teacher I've ever seen. She's literally the Mary Poppins of dance teachers. She has a magic ability to engage very young dancers, get them out of their shell, and foster a love of dance and movement from a very early age. She incorporates fun surprises into every class, and makes every single child feel treasured and welcome. (Let's just say if I had a daughter, she'd 100% be dancing with Miss Anna. If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area I highly recommend her!!)
Miss Anna needed a brand and website as sweet and whimsical as her teaching style, yet still clean, modern, and professional. We put together a mood board of adorable ballerinas, sweet details, and fun surprises (like the ones she sprinkles into each dance class). Of course we used ballet pink in the color palette, but also threw in a few pops of bright lavender, yellow, and blue to keep things fresh.
This brand and website needed to communicate Anna's knack for teaching toddlers, while gaining the trust of parents and caregivers. The final result strikes a great balance of playful and precious, but also professional and informative.
This is probably the most adorable website I will ever design, and holds a special place in my heart since I myself started dance classes when I was 3 years old. I just know toddler ballerina Jenna would approve.

And a quick Q&A interview with Anna about the process!
What do you do?
Teach children’s dance classes
Why did you want a new brand and website?
I wanted a clean, fresh look and a more user friendly site.
What was your favorite part of the branding and/or web design process?
Working with Jenna was fun, she broke it all down and made it less daunting of a task.
What was the most challenging part of the branding and/or web design process?
I struggle with making choices, that’s always been hard for me. Jenna makes that easier with the questions about myself, and the brand board. Having me talking about my work and choosing photos that “felt” like what I wanted in my brand she could make choices for me knowing what I liked.. she’s magic!
How did you feel before we started working together?
Ready for something new.
How do you feel now that your site is launched?
Perfectly satisfied that I have a beautiful website to be proud of.
Did we achieve the look and feel you were going for?
Yes! Beyond expectations!
What's your favorite part of your new brand or website?
The feeling… it just feels exactly how I want kiddos and parents to feel in my classes… happy and welcome!
