An earthy rainbow of warmth and whimsy.
Branding is always a complex and deep process, but it’s especially involved when working with a multi-passionate visionary of an entrepreneur.
That is Alecia of Rhiannon Rives Design in a nutshell. She’s incredibly creative and eclectic, yet doesn’t adhere to any one style or niche. She explains, “I work with all mediums, I don’t subscribe to any one style, I talk about mental health and my own healing journey perhaps a bit more than your typical business, and share parts of my life that bring me joy like my family, love of cooking, gardening, chicken-mamaing, and really just every-day-being. I hear from some business gurus that these are big no-nos, but I don't think I'd be me without them and Rhiannon Rives is me, so here we are.”
And another thing: She already had a logo she loved! The Rhiannon Rives Design logo was created by Bridget Jones at Wildberry Farm + Market. Alecia wanted to keep her existing logo, and build a comprehensive and cohesive visual brand identity around it.
Alecia had one thing crystal clear: She wanted her branding to align with her mission. At its core, her business is aligned with mental health advocacy, authenticity, and sustainability. She wants people to feel good about buying her products—using compostable packaging, upcycled materials whenever possible, and donating a portion of proceeds to good causes.
Achieving her vision took a lot of deep diving and collaboration, but we absolutely nailed it. A dreamy, muted color palette that is at once earthy and airy. Graphic elements that represented nature and whimsy yet tied in with her existing logo. A brand suite that was warm and ethereal yet minimalist and clean enough to span a variety of styles.
I adore what Alecia had to say about our time working together: “I loved working with Jenna, she really is a gem of a human being. Not only is she such a lovely person herself, but she really listened to my edits, non-defensively, and my vision to also infuse my graphics as well as hers into the final product. She helped me wrap around elements to my already existing logo in a way that felt cohesive and encompassing of all the things I hope to convey through my brand.”
I am incredibly proud of what we created together.
