A beautifully bookish brand design...
Grab a cup of coffee and get cozy, because today I'm revealing the charming visual identity and new Showit website for the literary lifestyle brand, FictionMatters!
FictionMatters is a blog about books and the literary lifestyle. Sara Hildreth is a self-proclaimed bookworm and aspiring literary heroine, and there's nothing she enjoys more than putting the right book into the hands of the right reader. Check out her Instagram if you want to topple your TBR!
Sara is incredibly thoughtful and intentional with her book recommendations, and she was the same way as we worked through her visual brand.
Smart, thoughtful, charming, and inviting. Cozy, comforting, and classic...but still young, fresh, and stylish. Modern hygge meets English cottage. Something warm and approachable, that makes you want to snuggle up and stay awhile...
I think we really created something beautiful together. The primary logo uses a combination of smart serif + clean script font that you might find on the cover of your favorite classic, anchored by hand-drawn florals that really drive that English cottage feeling home.
We then translated this branding to her new website. Sara wanted a website that felt like her – and felt like home! A corner of the internet where you could get lost in thoughtful book recommendations and find your next great read. From torn paper accents to bookish icons, everything was intentionally designed and thoughtfully placed to put the focus on cultivating your literary lifestyle – and finding books that matter.
