Chic Rebrand + Website for Nadine De Leon Designs

August 19, 2020

 BACK TO BLOG

When Nadine De Leon first inquired with me, she had an existing brand + website design that she wanted to elevate.

She felt that the style of her online presence no longer represented her business or her level of skill—nor was it what she wanted to put out into the world to attract the right clients!

She wanted to evolve her business in almost every way—from a brand-new name, to a revamped logo and color palette, to upgraded offerings and expanded photo galleries. But beyond that, she also wanted to evolve her entire mission, her target market, and her brand positioning in the industry.

Can we say “complete and total rebrand”?? Get excited!

Few things get me more pumped than being able to get my hands on an existing company’s branding and take it to the next level. The most important step, though, is the Brand Discovery Process so we can be strategic and purposeful, and rebrand with intention. Although Nadine had already been in business for a number of years, we needed to start from square one to re-evaluate her business goals, ideal client, and brand personality.

In short, Nadine is an insanely talented floral & event designer with a stylish inventory of furniture and tabletop rentals. She also does holiday décor installations that are absolutely out of this world! But my favorite thing about her? She's got an incredible heart and donates 3% of every event booked to Upavim to help support the women of Guatemala. She’s an absolute gem 💎

We came up with a brand and website that are both streamlined and chic. We wove in a lot of dark leafy greens, Moroccan tile-inspired icons, and a funky script accent font to give her brand a fashion-forward yet sophisticated feel. Plus we added a ton of tiled photo galleries to show off all the different aspects of her work.

Something to note about Nadine's brand is you don't have to take a color palette so literally! Although we used a deep green in her brand color palette, we didn't use big blocks of green color on her site. Instead, we used images of leaves and plants to splash that verdant color across her site in a more organic way.

Okay enough chatting...

And a quick Q&A interview with Nadine about the process:

What do you do?

I wow people! I take pieces of things they love and I put them together into an event that they fall in love with.

Why did you want a new brand and website?

As my business evolved, I evolved as well. What I liked a few years ago was no longer what I like today. I have really worked a lot on myself and my business, and feel that my old brand and website no longer represented me. I created my brand and website a few years ago while I was in a dark place in my life; and today that’s no longer the case, so it made sense to change the look.

What was your favorite part of the branding and/or web design process?

The “Brand Personality” questionnaire. Reflecting on who I am and how I can demonstrate it through the brand.

What was the most challenging part of the branding and/or web design process?

Sorting through so many pictures of past projects—and making a decision on what made the website cut and what didn’t!

How did you feel before we started working together?

Awesome. However, I was a bit trepidatious and not sure I could completely trust you.

How do you feel now that your site is launched?

I am in love with you 🙂 lol

On a serious note, I feel really confident of what you can do. You were able to gain my trust and confidence. I felt very well guided and your communication and response times are out of this world.

Did we achieve the look and feel you were going for?

Everything and more.

What's your favorite part of your new brand or website?

The way all the pictures somehow flow and create a story.

What are the next steps for your business?

Expansion of our Christmas division and educational division, and seeking higher end weddings. Also getting published in high end magazines!

Don’t you love the honesty here??

Nadine was hesitant at first because let’s be real—hiring a professional designer to rebrand your business is a huge deal! It’s an investment of both time and money, and the stakes are seriously high because at the end of the process, you *really have* to love your new brand.

I am so grateful that Nadine put her trust in me, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we came up with together.
