I adored creating the logo options for LoLA – a zesty, bold, and vibrant cocktail brand.
Suzanne, the founder of LoLA, is a Beverage and Hospitality Operations Professional who's done everything from cocktail development to event production. She came to me with a vision for LOLA – a brand of colorful craft cocktails in a can...that could eventually grow into a full-fledged brick-and-mortar saloon.
Brightly-colored margaritas and house-made sarsaparillas would kick off the brand—but she also needed versatility to allow for future growth and expansion. At its core (and based on the backgrounds of its founders), the LOLA brand is "West Coast beach casual" meets the history and culture of the Yucatan. Challenge accepted.
I'm half Puerto Rican, so the Latin vibes of this project called to my soul!!!! Suzanne wanted this visual brand to be bright, confident, fun, modern-yet-rustic, and full of flavor and color. Traditional and Latin-inspired with modern California beach vibes.
The final branding strikes a balance between modern and rustic, contemporary and traditional. From canned cocktail labels to future signage, we developed a visual brand that is robust, versatile, and allows for multi-directional growth.
The primary logo is neutral enough to be overlaid on an array of juicy colors (we're envisioning different color cans depending on the drink inside). I thoroughly enjoyed the fiesta feel of this visual brand, and can't wait to see it come to life over the next few years. Also can't wait to get some of those proprietary sarsaparillas and margaritas in my belly!!
